Thursday - Day 11

We are at the gate at the Tel Aviv airport. It is 8:45pm here and our flight leaves at 11:05. We are happy to be through security. They really check well here at this airport and I do not mind at all since it is for our safety.

We had a leisurely morning at the hotel before leaving at 11:45am. Some of us went back to the prayer center and prayed for a while. Some shopped. Some went back to the garden tomb to pray.

After departing from our hotel we went to the Temple Mount. This is where the Temple was located before it was destroyed. Now the Dome of the Rock, a mosque, is the main building on the temple mount. We enjoyed visiting that area and also the wailing wall (Western Wall). Some of us had visited the Western Wall yesterday and put our prayers in the cracks of the rocks as is tradition there. It was an extremely crowded day there with bar mitzvas and a Jewish girls' school was there praying as well.

This is Thursday and the traffic is terrible, like our Friday.

We traveled on to Joppa and toured that area and then had a wonderful dinner at a restaurant in Joppa before coming to the airport.

We have truly had a wonderful week. We have been blessed with beautiful weather, an awesome guide and driver, and most of the blessed by the presence of the Holy Spirit. We have been privileged to walk in the steps of Jesus.

I know I have left out some things due to being tired when writing this blog each evening but I hope you have enjoyed it. I also hope that if you have the opportunity and the LORD leads that you will visit this land. It is truly an experience that you will never forget. We have had a wonderful group and we have all enjoyed getting to know one another better.

We are continuing to pray for those back home that are in need of prayer.
Blessings from the Holy Land.
